UFRO Graduate Returns from the Technical University of Denmark for Research in Mechanical Vibrations

Matías Reumay San Martín, mechanical civil engineer and Master of Engineering Sciences graduate from Universidad de La Frontera, currently pursuing a PhD in the European country, carried out experimental work at the UFRO Vibrations and Rotordynamics Laboratory during a research placement that contributes to projecting new opportunities for student mobility and scientific cooperation around the capabilities of this university facility.

UFRO Innovation FiTyre Secures United States Patent and Advances International Licensing Prospects

A new milestone has been achieved by the Road Pavement Research Group (GiPAV, its Spanish acronym) of the Department of Civil Works Engineering at Universidad de La Frontera (UFRO) following the granting of a patent for the development of a sustainable solution designed to improve road durability using fibres from end-of-life tyres. The patent was granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). FiTyre®, through the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (DITT, its Spanish acronym), will now also pursue licensing opportunities in Europe and entry into international markets.

UFRO Researchers Study the Impact of Human Activity in Antarctica

For one month, Dr. Carolina Merino and Dr. Ignacio Jofré, academics from Universidad de La Frontera, are carrying out scientific fieldwork in Antarctic territory within the framework of the Anillo ATE250052 Project, an initiative that forms part of the 62nd Antarctic Scientific Expedition (ECA 62).

UFRO Students Prepare for the International Mobility Experience
