A Civil Mathematical Engineer, trained at the Universidad de La Frontera, is a professional with the skills to work in the areas of modelling, management and projects.
He is trained in basic sciences, engineering sciences, and especially in the fields of analysis, probabilities, statistics, discrete modelling, optimization and mathematical modelling. His specialty training gives him an in-depth view of the issues he has to deal with.
He has the capacity to communicate in a globalized world and to put together and lead work teams. He is socially responsible, innovative, committed, critical with the results of his decisions and respects the rules that govern the society in which he operates.
His basic and applied training allows him to work in productive industrial, manufacturing and service companies in the public or private sector, to work independently as a consultant or advisor, to undertake business initiatives, and to continue studies in order to contribute to the economic and social development and of the country.
A Civil Mathematical Engineer, graduated from the Universidad de La Frontera, is a professional prepared to face problems of engineering and sciences of high complexity and abstraction. The academic training allows the graduate to intervene in the formulation, modelling and proposition of solution schemes to these problems. Therefore, the occupational field is broad, but what stands out are, among others: planning centers, financial institutions, technology and science transfer companies, government agencies, as well as the areas of finances, computer science, structural engineering, scientific centers, bioengineering, etc.
