Performance Agreement of Internationalization of Doctoral Programs

This Institutional Improvement Plan (IIP) seeks to increase the international visibility of the programs of Doctorate in Science in Natural Resources and Doctorate in Sciences with a specialization in Applied Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Universidad de La Frontera by strengthening all the research and technological transference activities inherent to them and by deepening their international relationships and cooperation.
Its general mission is to enhance the international visibility, quality and relevance of these Doctoral programs, with the aim of improving competitiveness indices in the area of Bioresources, and that deepening the internationalization of their activities will reinforce the researchers’ graduate profiles with productive innovation and problem-solving skills in areas of high scientific impact at the regional and national levels.

Performance Agreement in Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities

The aim of this Performance Agreement is to achieve remarkable performances in the academic and management skills in the area of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Universidad de La Frontera by increasing scientific output, innovating in educational processes, creating effective and proactive bonds with the community, and continually improving quality.
The idea is to stimulate the integration and feedback of processes that also contribute to responding to the wider community’s requirements, interacting proactively with them in order to interpret social requirements, produce public goods and social intervention, strengthening cultural activities that reinforce development, cultural and territorial identity, strengthening research groups through their association with national and international academic networks and involving civil society.

UNETE Performance Agreement, University is Territory

UNETE is a shared initiative between the Universidad de La Frontera, the Ministry of Education and the Regional Government of the Araucanía in collaboration with other public institutions and international bodies with the aim of designing and implementing an articulate and interdisciplinary model for managing outreach and community engagement so as to strengthen the human development of the communes of Angol and Carahue.
Through collaborative and interdisciplinary work, this initiative brings together the Department of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine, and the University’s Interdisciplinary Institutes,the Agribusiness Institute, the Institute of Local and Regional Development and the Institute of Computer Literacy Education, who all have vast experience and prestige within the University and beyond.
